I may be reading it wrong but most of the plans I have looked at indicate that patients will have to pay 25% to 33% for drugs in Tier 4 even after they meet the $3600 deductible that is required by Medicare. That pushes the out of pocket for just Gleevec to around $15,000 a year for the minimum dosage or much higher for those on 600, 800 mg. etc.

I have found the same info that you mentioned.  Gleevec is Tier 4 on most plans, and still very expensive, but doesn't the plan pay a bigger percentage once you have $3600 out of pocket?  We must share info on this.
