I am at 11 years in the CML game. I will reach 5 years on 600mg of Gleevec at the end of this month. After 6 years on interferon, and 4 years on Gleevec, sleeping was bad. I took Ativan during the Interferon years, and Ambien during Gleevec. 3-4 Hours of good sleep. My onc recognized about a year ago that I was complaining about sleep and seemed to have depression. I truly did not pay any attention to others over the years saying that they were on some anti-depression med. Now I know these meds would have helped me. My Doc put me on 20mg of Paxil and after about 3 weeks, I was feeling better and sleeping normal. He said the Paxil helps the seratonin deficiency. Each med works differently for each individual.
