My son just went to have a bone marrow biopsy and it did not go well. They worked and worked and worked but just couldn't get through the bone. They thought they were in in two places but when they tried to get back some marrow it came back with nothing. I guess they call it a dry tap. I guess this was really a painful ordea with all of the places they tried to get into the marrow and all.

Have any of you had this experience and what are the indications if the bone is so hard they can't get through it into the marrow. We are just wondering what all of that indicates.

Thanks, Penny
