Dear Pat, When our son Adam was first put on Gleevec they gave us a list of things that could possibly interact with it. The list was extremely long and I only recognized two things on it. One was grapefruit and the other was Marijuanna. I'm at work so I don't have the actual list with me. Needless to say he wasn't allowed either (lol he's only 12). One thing that did help his appetite was megace. For him it was a liquid steroid type medicine that really gave him an appetite. He would take it with his dinner and it took about 5 days to have an effect. Anyway, just somethings I remember from his pre-transplant days.
