[CMLHope] blood counts

Hi everyone,I have a question about Anc counts.Randy went for blood work today,because of raising his gleevec to 600mg.His WBC was 3.0...RBC 4.22..PLT235.His anc was0.8.He has to go back Wednesday to recheck it.The Dr. said if it got any lower they might have to back off of the gleevec a little bit.I thought there was some kind of shot they could give you to raise your  WBC,or is that just your platelets? Sorry I am not very smart about this stuff,but I am learning a lot from this group,Thank you all,Sandy
