  You are quite right about the high RDW.  If Randy is responding well
to Gleevec, the RDW should go down.  There is a study done relating RDW
to Gleevec therapy, I may have posted to you before and it may be in
the archives.

  Sandy, it is very positive that Randy is responding to the 600mg dose
so it may be worthwhile discussing with the doctor keeping him at this
dose with a white cell booster like Neupogen to raise the ANC if it
goes down.  That way, he can remain on this Gleevec dose and go to CCR.
 Talk to the doctor and see.

  I think the RDW study on Gleevec therapy is in the archives.  Good
you remembered it.
