Hi Pete, I have been told by more than one CML expert that elevated creatinine levels are not uncommon on IM, and they are not really sure why. It could be multifactorial. There are some theories pointing to edema. So, it will be interesting to hear what your doctor says.
Check your albumin levels. If they are lower than normal you may want to question that as well. It can be frustrating with all these side effects. On the one hand IM works well at addressing the problem of CML, on the other hand the side effects give rise to other medical problems. Try as we might, this really isn't a drug or disease to be taken lightly.
