Dear Bob, Gleevec is metabolized through the liver so it is unusual for Gleevec to affect the kidneys. Roy has normal levels of creatinine.
If a patient is on some heart meds and diuretics for Gleevec-induced edema (like Adrienne pointed out), this may affect creatinine levels.
