I can certainly respond to the bruising question.
Currently, I have 3 large bruises on my thigh
that are two or so weeks old. We got a new
wooden bed which has sharp corners on the foot
board and I bumped into it several times until I
learned to avoid it. Also, my lower legs have
lots of scars from bleeding after I have bumped
or lightly scraped them against something. Yes,
it does take them so long to heal! Some of them
have such thick scabs on them. I guess it's a
low platelet problem...and my being kind of a
klutz, too! My excitement for tomorrow is eye
surgery to repair a macular hole in my left eye.
I have to be there at 6 AM and have a vitrectomy.
Immediately, after surgery I need to be in a"
face down" position for 7 days...with my face
parallel to the floor. I am renting a massage
chair which will get me into that position and
also some contraption to attach to the end of a
bed so I can sleep on my stomach with my face
cradled off the end of the bed. How much fun is
this? : ) Hope everyone is having a good day!
It has finally cooled down a little here in
Duluth, and we may even get some rain.
