I would look at the meals he consumes with his gleevec. I found taking in the morning works better for me because breakfast is a milder meal that other meals. I was took it with chili and up it all came. Not fun. I try to have a large breakfast and cup up with ideas for different mild foods. Good luck, Jeanie<3 In a message dated 12/14/2007 2:32:10 P.M. My husband was diagnosed with CML in Aug 2006 and has been on 400mg of Gleevec since diagnosis. He has had intermittent problems with nausea and vomiting since he started. However, in the past two weeks, he has had 3 instances of vomiting approx an hour after taking Gleevec. He already "sandwiches" his pill with food and lots of water and he takes Compazine about an hour before eating and taking Gleevec. Yesterday, his oncologist suggested Reglan instead of Compazine; however, he vomited again today so Reglan doesn't appear to be effective. Any suggestions from your experience? We are in an excellent support group and CMLHope was suggested by several of its members.
