Even before dealing with CML, I had a bucket list but until I reached
"undetectable" and was ready to get my strength back, I'd had to give
it up. To regain my stamina, I took up tango. I'd never danced
before, tango is very demanding (it's good for getting rid of a lot of
"Gleevec fog") and for a long time I thought I'd never be able to
dance it acceptably: eventually I did reach a level of proficiency
where I don't look like an idiot on the dancefloor. The next thing I
did was to go soaring. I'd wanted to go up in a glider for years and
never managed to do it but last winter I did. Winter is not a good
time to go up in a glider as the air on the East Coast is so cold that
there are not enough good rising thermals to extend the flight as long
as one might want. I'm going up again in summer. There are more
things on my list of "I've always wanted to...." and I'm determined to
find a way to do them all, as well as any others that might come to
mind. Vivi
