Hi Livia, I'm a little confused about what you said that if you are PCR you would be coming off all medication. I was on Interferon for 3 months and I know for me it was the worse period in my live I have every been through. The drug was poison for me. I started Gleevec after Interferon that was when it was called STI571, before it was approved by the FDA. I would think that you would have to stay on some kind of medication, Gleevec or something. I think you should ask your Doctor first before you stop all medication unless he tells you different. If he's right about coming off all medication, I would check with another Doctor just to be sure. Maybe someone else can add their opinion to your e-mail. Greenie Springfield, MO.
