Hi to everyone on the CML list. Wishing you all a Happy New Year for 2009. Clyde and I need your help. We need information from anyone or everyone who has a Supplemental coverage or I guess it would be called a Medigap policy that has prescription coverage for Gleevec. Clyde began dialysis treatment on Nov. 26, 2008. From what we have learned so far, he'll continue to be covered by my early retiree medical insurance for 30 months. Once the 30 months expires, he must go on Medicare A & B. He has had Medicare Part A after being on SSDI for a year, from 2000. I need to know a good Supplemental PPO insurance company that will cover Gleevec without charging a huge amount. We currently pay $50 for 90 days mail order supply of Gleevec.
So, if anyone out there has some good information for us, please let us know. We'll be eternally grateful. Thank you all.
