When I looked for a medi-gap program that covered Gleevec I didn't find one. Most medicare related coverage has a cap of $4000.00 per year (their fee combined with yours, leading only to a few months coverage). Novartis is the company that makes Gleevec and they do have a patient assistance plan for those who are unable to be covered for the medication otherwise. The phone number is 1-800-277-2254.
