Hi Michael, I had the same issues with Gleevec. As others have stated, taking Gleevec with meals and avoiding spicy foods and Coke were helpful. I was on Gleevec for about 2.5 years and my symptoms, i.e, swelling, nausea, diarrhea and muscle cramps never went away. Because I saw no cryogenic response from Gleevec, I switched to Sprycell and all of my symptoms went away.Luckily I also had a cryogenic response with Sprycell and have been PCRU for 2 years.
