Hi Tina,

No you are not selfish.

My best advice to you is to get to a doctor who has experience in dealing
with pregnancy.

As much as you love your present doctor, it is evident that she is not
experienced in these matters. She should be able to tell you that there are
meds you can take (Interferon) while pregnant that won't harm the fetus. How
many CML patients has she had who she guided through a successful pregnancy?

Read the book 'My (So-Called) Normal Life". She chronicled her journey with
CML on Glamour Magazine.

Erin stopped Gleevec and had a baby boy. She is now having her second child
(due in January). Her doctor is Dr. Michal Mauro at OHSU. He was my clinical
trial doctor back in 2001 and a very experienced CML doctor. I would urge
you to at least have a consult with someone of his experience.

Also, when you say that you are in remission, what exactly do you mean. Are
you at CCR or better? If you are then you qualify for a number in the Zero
Club.

Good luck,

Zavie
