I am more than happy with my Medicare coverage and private Medicare
Supplement Insurance. With only 4% administrative costs, Medicare is doing a
fine job. However, it is clear to see that there is corruption in the system
that needs to be eliminated. So I support doing just that. In my view
universal healthcare for the American people is a moral issue. How can we
turn our backs to the plight of so many Americans who are befallen by
disease? How can we ignore the millions of children who have no coverage? We
need to recognize these injustices and do something about it. Medicare for
all is the simple and eventual answer, but until then I support elements of
healthcare reform, e.g. eliminating pre-existing conditions, preventing
cancellations of insurance for those who get sick, and capping the price of
insurance to reasonable levels.

As the greatest nation in the history of the World, we must begin to take
care of our people in the areas of healthcare and education. Doing it well,
will strengthen our nation and be true to our moral compass. Where are the
outspoken moral leaders of our country? Only the Catholic bishops have
endorsed universal health care. Where are the Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim
leaders? When we hear from them?
