Hi Partick, A BMB is normally done at diagnosis to confirm that you have CML and to have a benchmark of what your marrow looks like. What test did he do to confirm that you had CML.
How often are you being tested. I was tested every 3 months by BMB for about 5 years and then switched to PCR testing. I still do a BMB every 1 or 2 years. Starting this year I will have a PCR done every 4 months. I think that it is a weaning process to do them only every 6 months. This works if you are very stable with your disease.
