I would agree with your mother that the CML drugs cause loss of muscle mass. I've experienced it progressively in the 18 months since dx. When I questioned one of my onc's P.A.s, she said there's no research showing that as a side effect, and that more than likely it seems that way because of weight loss and lack of exercise. I guess I only know what I observe in my own body. I just try to ignore it - and act like it's a sign of my "maturity."
