Hi Carolyn: Welcome to our group........we are here for you. And, I'm sure somewhere in this group, you'll find others who maybe smoke, too, or have. I quit a very long time ago (around '75) mainly because I got to where I was sick with a coughing and upper respiratory problems. I also worked at the time and was close to the Plastics Dept. where they used Fiberglass, so there was some dust sometimes. I couldn't afford to quit my job at that time, so I could give up my smoking, though. I did easily enough as I was what one would call a "social" smoker......(smoked more when visiting with folks, playing cards, or after I ate as it was my dessert!). Once I gave up the cigarettes, coughing and respiratory problems went away.
