Hi Christina, Good evening from Brazil. Regarding your PCR results, you have to know that the number itself do not matter. What really matters is the tendency. So, while the number is not increasing too much - everything is ok. Regarding your smoke adiction, this is something that you should do something about and you CAN do that by yourself. You already has leukemia, so you do not need more diseases that this adiction may cause to you. A good diet, exercises, friends, religion, any social activity will help you for a good quality of life. Regarding life expectancy, my son was diagnosed 3 years ago and I do hope that he will prevail. Anyway, since 2002, there is no brazilian dead by CML. And also, in the world, people are keeping healthy while taking gleevec or others medicatications such as tasigna and nilotinib. Keep going, Ricardo. -- [CMLHope] A support group of http://cmlhope.com ------------------------------------------------- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CMLHope" group.
