Have any of you ladies gotten a perm while taking Gleevec or sprycel? While I was on gleevec, over the years, I have gotten several with no problems. The only thing I noticed was the perms didn't seem to curl like they once did and didn't last as long. I was planning on changing my beauticians as a friend of mine's daughter has a shop in her home...and I don't,can't go into a crowded beauty shop without having a panic attack. Anyway, this girl has known about my cml, and the fact that I am taking chemo and she said she couldn't do it without a statement from my doctor. has anyone in the group gotten a perm and what was the outcome? I think it would be ok, as it was with the others but just wanted to inquire since I am now on sprycel? My hair is a wreck so really need this done as it would help my self esteem.
