Hi Marty, I believe what you have is actually hypothyroidism. This is when your thyroid is under active. The drug Levothyroxine helps to compensate for that but in Mr Grinch's case, he said that has hyperthyroidism which is actually the opposite of what you have, it's an over active thyroid. If he took Levothyroxine, it would probably kill him. Unfortunately for Mr Grinch, hyperthyroidism is much more difficult to treat than hypothyroidism.
