Hello to all,

My name is Pedro and I'm portuguese. My sister has,43 years old and in 2007
she was diagnosed a myeloid leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia positive acute
lymphoblastic leukemia. After several quimio and radioterapy treatments she
was submitted to a transplant in 2008. Everything seemed to be going well,
but in 2009 some cells were found again in my bone marrow. This situation
has been succefully controlled with DASATINIB. However in march 2011 they
found other mutant cells (Mutation T315I). For that there is still no
treatment available in Portugal. Her's physician talked about the trials -
phase 2- with PONATINIB from ARIAD.
The trials are now closed for new patients, but I think there's the
possibility to obtain this drug POATINIB, directly from the lab if it's a
urgent situation!

Does any one knows how this works? The lab is ARIAD.

Thank you all in advance,
Pedro
