I have been on rx for acid reflux for a long time. When I started exceeding the daily recommended amount of the over the counter, I was sent to have a visual test. The Dr. found I had Barrett's esogofus(SP). My stomach lining is growing up toward my throat. This allows the acids in my stomach to bubble up and cause continual acid reflux. The medicine and diet has worked since. The diet is very little red meat, more veggies, and all the white meats, chicken, fish, pork, and fish. Good luck finding what works for you.
