My Oncologist wouldn't let me take them on Gleevec either. Perhaps he's being to cautious. who knows? My family doctor prescribed them and I just wouldn't take them. When I was diagnosed with liver disease, they pulled everything like that off of me as it can affect your liver. I'm not sure what is safe and what isn't. Like I said, I'd run it past my Oncologist and see what they say. I just don't take anything that could cause possible problems now. The doctors really don't research these things, so the only ones that can find out are the Oncologists. That's the way I feel anyway. Yes, these things (antacid meds) do work. I just won't chance any of it since I have so many issues that I deal with.
