Hey there Greenie:

Just read this. Not sure what to think. I'm like Marty....why doesn't
Novartis help more through their Compassion program. Just talked to a lady
today whose daughter doesn't qualify for the drug companies help with the
cost because she's under 18. So What???? They cannot afford to pay the
monthly cost co-pay of $2500.

I, for one, haven't felt comfortable about going completely off my
Gleevec. I have cut the dosage from 400mgs. to now at 100mgs. and am so
far staying at "none detected". I go see my doctor the end of next month
and am hoping that I am still staying "none detected". I had to take the
drug at 400mgs. for 5 years before I managed that "none detected" all
across the graph. Always before then, it would be raised a bit here or
there......stayed at .001% for ever it seemed. :) But, I've been staying
at 0 now since July of '09 and I want to keep it that way. Just too
nervous about going off of it completely.

Thanks for posting this Greenie.

Suzieq
