Thanks Beth. Sorry to say my first time around the puffy eyes and swollen legs and ankles were resent the 5 1/2 years I was taking Gleevec. I lost 55 lbs. after I stopped Gleevec. I know that 25-30 lbs. was rapid fluid loss and I conditioned myself to eat smaller portions at meal and snack time. With moderate exercise I was only losing 1-2 lbs. a week. My sister, a geriatric nurse, told me "you didn't gain the weight overnight so don't try to take it off overnight." Richard H.
