There are actually two new OS-independent cross-platform editing solutions announced in just the past month.
The first is the Flash-based widget from Ektron you mentioned recently on the list (did you notice Ektron introduced it at $599, then quickly reduced the license for unlimited users to $99?).
The other is the long-awaited fruition of Mozilla XUL tools, a free (no license fees) open-source cross-platform editor.
Mac and Linux users can now do WYSIWYG without Java applets.

By the way, I liked your Kibo quote. Kibo is a personal friend who created a miniature version of the Merlin game my wife Holly and I invented years ago. far so good, and it does everything you want on Windows (one cool feature:
you can use your own style sheets). They recently came out with a Flash
version that supposedly works on Macs, but we haven't tried that yet.
