At any rate, now you know about a public archive for what is clearly a public list. Do you what you need to do to "protect" yourself from spam.
Personally, although I do not like unsolicited email, I find it much less offensive than junk snail mail that harms the environment or intrusive telemarketing phone calls.

I think the main complaint is that this is a service that publicly archives private lists. It's fine that it does that, but not fine that it does that without letting list members know...giving them the opportunity to unsubscribe (or not subscribe in the first place) if they so desire.
It's just common courtesy.
