This is probably ridiculously easy and obvious but I can't think at the moment how to do it easily.
I have a file where each record contains 2 words - a key and a value. What I want to do is to load a stem indexed on the key. Ideally, the rest of the stem would have a default value. ie File ==== 23 Yellow 46 Red Desired Result ============= Stub.1 = Blank Stub.23 = Yellow Stub.46 = Red Stub.n = Blank Sure - I could find a way to do it (with a REXX stage if nothing else) but it seems this should be relatively easy to do.
