I've just reimplemented a pipe I wrote as rexx. Maybe its just me but there can be a certain inscrutability about pipelines that makes it more difficult to understand certain kinds of constructs than the equivalent rexx code. Pipes can easily become a write-only language so I like to choose what I'm most likely to still understand next week unless there are overwhelming reasons of, for example, performance, to suggest I stick to pipes.
Maintainability is important too. i ------ Original Message ------ Received: Tue, 13 Nov 2007 02:36:43 PM GMT From: Rob van der Heij <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Building an indexed stem > > Master Plumber's Conduct Guidelines require that I ask you why you > want stuff in Rexx variables at all.
