I've mixed emotions about this. On the one hand I'm super happy the world
at large will be able to use all the great new stuff thats been
incorporated into pipelines since it was first integrated into CMS. On the
other hand, I'm slightly worried because all the code I've written over the
years in support of our busy Xagent email gateway has been running with the
Marist distribution and will have to be exhaustively tested with the new
CMS level before we can stop using the Marist version. Ordinarily that'd be
straightforward, but as it happens by the time it is available for same,
I'll have retired and there's really no plans for any backfill, at least
any with significant pipeline skills. Ah well, perhaps a future contract
opportunity for someone.
