IMHO the best way for you to decide is to try out as many CMS as possible. 
OpenSourceCMS, http://www.opensourcecms.com/, have the various CMS installed 
and available online for anyone to try. You can log in as a user and 
administrator to get a hands on feel. They have the CMS grouped by the most 
relevant use.
