We are aware of the limitations of our Administration Interface,
though we do have some visually impaired users using it without too
many difficulties. This is anecdotal information and I could follow-up
with more detail if necessary.
2. A number of "backend" admin tasks can become frontend (and
accessible) admin tasks via the simple edit interface.
Correct -- our Simple Edit interface is completely customisable, so
you could build many of the authoring and approval tasks in a
completely accessible interface.
3. The new version (v4), due sometime next year gets rid of the
applets and replaces old school javascript with new school javascript.
Just a note -- v4 has no scheduled release date and its very unlikely
to be in 2008 anyway. :)
You could put the question direct to Squiz via their forums
http://forums.matrix.squiz.net/
a couple of their senior (and very knowledgeable) staff monitor and
answer most the question.
Some of us are now subscribers here too. :)
