I'm curious as to whether anyone has thought about extending CLX to
handle all the new nifty X protocol extensions for X11R6?  Some of
them would be very useful...

Also, how is CMUCL's CLX going to be synchronized with the CLOCC
version?  Since the CLOCC version uses PORT I don't see it being
possible to literally copy the CLOCC CLX over the CMUCL sources.  But
I'd rather use CLX without the CLOCC PORT stuff, if I can get away
with it...

I'm curious about this because I'm thinking of extending various parts
of CLX to bring it up to a more modern X protocol interface and would
like to see these hacks be fed back into the distribution, but it'd be
a PITA to have to maintain them for multiple flavors of the same code.
So what's the plan here?
