You still have some configuration problems that need to be resolved. Here I start up hemlock (having already an lisp.core that contains hemlock, etc) by
> cmucl -edit This should present you a screen with a hemlock buffer in a large window and a command/status buffer in a smaller one just below. Next, I start a slave by pressing togeather cntrl-alt-c. You should see "New slave name? [slave 1]" in the status window. Pressing the enter key should cause the large window to change to one showing the normal cmucl startup noise. Sometimes failure to get a slave running is due to network config problems. Can you "ping localhost"? Can you ping your hostname? Paul
