Hi Joel, we had the floor up (whole different story) removed and cleaned the strainer and all we could clean. There is a touch sensitive pad on the front to "test the pump" this no longer seems to work. The RULE MATE 1100 has what the manufacturer calls "solid state water sensing technology that eliminates the need for a separate float switch". A sensor turns the pump on and another sensor shuts the pump off, in essence there isn't that much too clean.
We need a new bilge pump, this one appears to be shot, hence wondering if anyone had recommendations/good experiences with other brands.
