James, just for comparison's sake, there are separate float switches available which can be wired in to the current pump, which may be a less expensive alternative; we did that on my boat to eliminate the electronic sensor cycling on and off every 2 minutes;

There is a touch sensitive pad on he front to "test the pump" this no longer seems to work. he RULE MATE 1100 has what the manufacturer calls "solid state water ensing technology that eliminates the need for a separate float witch". A sensor turns the pump on and another sensor shuts the pump ff, in essence there isn't that much too clean. We need a new bilge pump, this one appears to be shot, hence wondering f anyone had recommendations/good experiences with other brands. Pumps are generally indestructable. Switches should last multiple seasons. I would do a separate switch or a pump with a replaceable switch. My problem is that the keel bolts make it necessary to have a non-submersible pump with a pick up. PS, you need to delete prior threads when posting.
