No surfers on Fort Lauderdale beach today. My wife and I just cycled over there. Fifteen-foot seas breaking on the first reef with 8- to 10-foot walls of water slamming into the beach. Overnight, the waves covered State Road A1A and were lapping at the door of the Elbo Room on Las Olas. Crews are out bulldozing the beach back from A!A to where it belongs.
