Steve:

Canadian Tire has portable/rechargeable dual 12V DC /120V AC batteries......wait for them to go on sale....you will never have to hand crank your engine with one of these in your tool kit.

Thanks all. Yeah I was thinking about the car but you know .. there's a bilge pump too and it's a boat and if the battery dies I'm stuck on my mooring with no way to recharge the battery short of hand cranking the engine. I guess it's not such a bad scenario.

We used a little logitech iPod thing for a while but it just doesn't "pound" like I'm used to. I have a proper sound system in my car and both the living room and studio of my 1100 square foot home. I'm spoiled and I like listening to my rock and roll nice and loud. Like, bother the neighbours loud. They can go to hell anyway, we share the harbour with a bunch of dragon boaters and all they do is yell all day long. Now they have to yell over Zeppelin and I don't have to listen to them anymore :)
