I guess before finding a canvas shop, I would like to know if any of our current C&C 30 owners have been able to install a decent Bimini that provides good coverage. The main sheet and the low boom are in the way and I'm not sure what kind of coverage I'll be getting...

Good place to start. My 35/5 has mid-boom sheeting, so its not an issue. The top has a zipper that goes around the backstay. There are lots of canvas shops around us. I have not had to use them for anything beyond a minor repair, so I can't make a recommendation of anyone local. You might call Bacon and ask Gary for a recommendation.
