In the past I have taped a hose to a funnel over the cable with a light lube in
it. Then with the rubber slinger off worked the cable from the gear box. Some
times the head pressure of the funnel will get your lube down the cable. Higher
the funnel more the head Psi. Could try a shop vac on the bottom to add more
