It is a yawl, and I'm not sure they made a 3 yawl, but the three yawls we have
here in town are earlier. The only 3 we had was a sloop. All three yawls in
town have roller furlers. I'm sure Pagan has some older sails which could be
available and have forwarded the note to him (he has been racing the boat since
the '70's). The others are cruisers and keep their sails a long time.

I will let Dick Cooper know - he is the B-40 president - local - Chesapeake - I
don't know (or was last year....).

Gary
I have an older #3/#4 (it has a reef in it) that might do as a working jib if
the boat is a 40-3.

Subject: Stus-List Sailing but not C&C related - Hinkley Bermuda 40 Yawl -
newer sails needed

We have finally persuaded the Sea Scouts in Southport to come out and race in
the white sail division. They are handicapped in more ways than one, but I am
hoping I can enlist the help of this incredible list to see if we an locate a
new set of sails for them - this should not be difficult - their current set is
45 years old. They do not have the funds to buy used from Bacon or similar, so
we are hoping to find some folks who are willing to donate their old sails to a
good cause!

  Any leads gratefully received
