I installed an Isotherm 3751 ASU SP unit on Mojito in 2011 (link below).  I
tried to fit the compressor under the sink, but it was just too tight to
work in there and make the required connections, so it ended up in the port
cockpit locker on the bulkhead above the hot water heater.  Really easy
installation into the icebox etc.  I had to enlarge the sink drain through
hull (it's not cored there, so not too big a deal), and there were some
extra plumbing parts required to get it to fit together, but not a tough
install.  I added insulation to the top of the icebox, which made a huge
difference, but didn't do anything elsewhere.

The holding plate design means you can get it (and everything) else cold
while on shore power or motoring and then the variable speed compressor
keeps it topped up with lower current draw.
