As my boat is 3-1/2 hours away and buried under several feet of snow, I have a question for those Landfall 38 owners on the list who live in much more amenable climates…
If you have the stock propane locker under the helm seat and are willing to grab a tape measure, I’m interested in internal measurements of the locker at the center; specifically, the fore-aft measurement at the bottom and also about 6 inches up from the bottom, along with the interior width. Right now, the only tanks I can fit are two five-pound tanks; I’m thinking of changing to a single horizontal twenty-pounder like the Manchester 10487TC: http://www.mantank.com/products/rvproducts.htm This would accomplish a couple of things; first, it would double the amount of propane I can carry. And second, it can be fitted with a standard 90 ohm level sender that I can hook up to the tank monitor I just ordered for use with my water and holding tanks. So if anyone has a chance to do a little measuring, I would appreciate it — thanks! — Fred Fred Street -- Minneapolis S/V Oceanis (1979 C&C Landfall 38) -- on the hard in Bayfield, WI :^(
