A good friend of mine was a yacht broker / importer back in the 70's or maybe before ( can't confirm as he is now deceased. He told me that the centerboard C&Cs at that time had a design problem and several centerboards fell off in Long Island Sound! Obviously C&c fixed that problem long ago!!
