Are they spraying the barrier coat?  You'll get a smoother (faster) finish
if they do.  Hard to tell exactly how thick each coat is, so a 50% increase
is probably good insurance.  Just think, you'll probably only have to (want
to) do this once so you might as well do it well the first time.  My yard
also recommended application of the bottom paint while the barrier was not
fully cured.
