Switch to a high quality ablative bottom paint. Then you can take the residual paint off when you haul out every 3 years or so and have the bottom pressure washed.

I came to the conclusion that when bad sailors die they go to a boatyard in hell to sand hulls for eternity. Any price to have someone do a soda job for you is cheap.
