I have an older, three blade, CD feathering prop on my 29-2. The boat will motor at 6 to 6.5 knots at 2800 RPM under most conditions.
I usually run at 2600 RPM with a boat speed of ~ 6 knots. Last summer when trying to re-enter Frenchmans Bay with a headwind of 25 to 35 knots and a moderate chop (offshore wind) the best that I could get was 3.5 to 4 knots. Fair Winds, Bob Hickson, P. Eng.
